Our Projects
1900's Spanish Villa
This home in Upland, CA was built in the 1900's. There was never any air conditioning in the home, there was a wall heater to heat the home in winter time. After assessing the home it was determined that there was enough space in the attic to install a central air system. The only issue was access, we cut out the stucco siding and framed in a vented access panel. With easier and larger access we were able to place a fan coil in the attic and then duct the space out. We installed ceiling supply vents in all the rooms with a central return.
The Samsung system that was installed only needs 230V singe phase power to the outdoor condenser unit. The condenser has the ability to send power to the indoor fan coil, eliminating costs of the electrician installing power supply into the attic. The system is a heat pump and can sufficiently cool or heat the space any time of the year with efficient costs due to its advanced inverter technology.

Single Family Home Budget Replacement
This project was done on a single family home with a tighter budget. The owners wanted a more efficient system but did not want to pay to replace everything. The furnace was in good shape and functioned well so it was kept.
The air conditioning system was to be replaced with a new condenser and the matching coil for the greatest efficiency. York makes a condenser that works like a mini split, the compressor can increase or decrease capacity to save energy, but it does not need to be mated to a special fan coil. The condenser has extra controls that will control the indoor fan motor speed to make a more efficient system as well. This is a great budget option or a great option for dual fuel systems to increase AC efficiency while maintaining a gas furnace.

Manufactured Home
Manufactured homes have unique needs. Most companies install the condenser as close to the furnace as possible. The problem with this is that the condenser typically gets placed on the back of the house where you might want to do a patio cover or have a nice open usable space. Art of Air understands the constraints that places on the space so we install the condenser to the side of the home away from your main use areas. This opens up the outside of the house to much more usability and removes that dead space.
